Ms Rankin said she will demand high levels of professional conduct from the department, adding the controversy had caused a great deal of concern.



"What I understand is that parents are concerned, rightly, if situations have occurred in their schools and they haven't been advised about them," she said.



"I expect professional people to act professionally. I think I have a reputation in the public service that I expect people to give me full and frank advice."

Ms Rankine was responding to questions about ugg bailey button boots the Debelle inquiry after a mother gave evidence about her child, who was allegedly touched inappropriately by Mark Christopher Harvey while attending his outofschoolhours care at a western suburbs school.



The mother, whose daughter was as young as seven while in Harvey's care, said she only found out about the case because of the media coverage late last year.



"I wouldn't have found out and it was only because of that reason that my child shared her experience, which is an absolute tragedy," she said.



"I think politically and departmentally ugg boots clearance this highlights complete and utter incompetence, a lack of respect and any sort of morals.



"And that they wouldn't have thought that any other child could have been harmed when he (Harvey) was charged and convicted is unbelievable."



The mother said she spent about an hour providing evidence to former Supreme Court Justice Bruce Debelle.



I was really nervous but Justice Debelle was fantastic, he really gave me time to breath and get my points across, share my experience with my daughter and what she went through as well as the process.
